Bowler of Week

Bowler: Jessica Emes, 37, of Middletown.

Latest bowling accomplishment: Rolled her fifth career 300 game at Suburban Bowlerama.

I started bowling: At age 8.

Bowler I've learned the most from: My father, Perry.

Best bowling advice I ever received: Control temper and work on my mental game.

Most memorable bowling moment: Rolling an 834 series.

Part of my game I'm working on improving: My timing.

Advice I would give someone just starting to bowl: Keep your emotions in check, and spares are the name of the game.

Non-bowlers don't realize: How much camaraderie there is in bowling.

The toughest part about bowling is: The league season is very long, and sometimes you may not feel like bowling.

Future goal: Stay healthy and keep bowling.
