Jefferson and Glen Rock split a Central League baseball doubleheader on Sunday.

Visiting Jefferson grabbed a 12-1 triumph, while Glen Rock captured a 7-5 victory.

In the Jefferson win, Zach Schuler (4-for-5, three runs), Colin Porter (3-for-5, three RBIs, two runs), Jeff Kemberling (3-for-5, two RBIs), Kurt Seiders (2-for-4, two RBIs, one run) and Scott Trail (2-for-5, three runs) led the 17-hit attack. Jordan Watkins, Porter and Jim Volz combined on a five-hitter for Jefferson.

In the Glen Rock win, Justin Anderson led Glen Rock, going 2-for-3, including a double, with three RBIs. Connor Hood also doubled for the winners, while Casey Hood threw three shutout innings in relief to get the win. Porter and Kemberling each had two hits and an RBI for Jefferson.


Stoverstown 5, Shiloh 0: At Shiloh, Jordan Lehman and Cody Kauffman combined on a five-hit shutout for the Tigers. Lehman pitched the first five innings, while Kauffman pitched the final two innings. Dalton Hoiles had three hits for the winners, including a double and a triple, to go with an RBI. Shiloh pitchers Brandon Kinneman and Brandon Smith combined to allow just five hits, but they were hurt by five errors by their defense.



York Township 5, Red Lion 1: At Township, Casey Markey pitched a complete game to get the win, striking out five and walking one while allowing nine hits. Tyler Butcher also went the distance in a losing cause, giving up four earned runs and seven hits. Joel Buchko had two hits for the winners, while Andy Freeburger added one hit and two sacrifice flies. Cash Gladfelter went 3-for-4 for Red Lion, including a double, while Cody Somerville was 2-for-3 with a double. Township improved to 20-11.
