Stetson honored by CAC: York College senior Michael Stetson was named the Capital Athletic Conference Men's Cross Country Athlete of the Week after leading the Spartans to the team championship at the Misericordia Invitational on Friday. Stetson placed sixth in the five-kilometer race with a time of 17 minutes, 32.17 seconds, pacing a pack of five Spartans that finished sixth through 11th and only nine seconds apart.
Field hockey team makes history: The York College field hockey team improved to 3-0 on Wednesday with a 3-2 victory over visiting Gettysburg. The win snapped a 12-game losing streak against Gettysburg, giving the Spartans their first victory over Gettysburg since 1984. Beth Patrick, Ali Posey and Sydney LaMarsh scored unassisted goals for York. Jessica Everett made six saves to get the win in goal.
Women's soccer team falls to E-Town: The York College women's soccer team fell to 2-1 on the season with a 1-0 loss at Elizabethtown on Wednesday night.
Women's volleyball loses at F&M: Franklin & Marshall remained undefeated by winning in four games over visiting York College on Wednesday, 25-14, 20-25, 25-13, 25-14. The Diplomats improved to 5-0 while the Spartans fell to 2-4. South Western grad Kristin Martinak, a senior, paced York College with 21 assists and six digs alongside junior Charlotte Sabatano (17 digs, seven kills).
