The Junior League of York Sustainers' Volunteer Award will recognize two women who have demonstrated an exceptional interest in voluntarism in York County.

Traditionally, the JLY Sustainers award a scholarship to a young woman who is a graduating high school senior in York County who has demonstrated an exceptional dedication to volunteerism. This year, the group is expanding the scholarship award to include a current student at a York County institutions of higher education who has committed to volunteering within the York community.

Applicants must live in York County, have done volunteer work in the community and maintain at least a 3.0 cumulative grade point average and no major disciplinary infractions, and must not be related to a Junior League of York member.

The deadline for applications is March 1. Application packets and additional information can be found on the events page of the Junior League of York website, The winner(s) will receive notification in April, and the award will be presented at the Junior League of York's annual meeting May 14.
