PennDOT will begin a tree trimming and pipe replacement project Monday on a nearly 5-mile section of Route 382.

The project area stretches from Route 382's intersection with Route 181 in York Haven Borough to the intersection with Sipe Road near Interstate 83 in Newberry Township, according to a news release.

Motorists may encounter single-lane traffic restrictions with flaggers assisting them through the work zone on weekdays after 8:30 a.m. There will also be overnight detours within the I-83 interchange at Exit 32 with Route 382 between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. as crews repair and resurface ramps, PennDOT said.

The $2.1 million contract was awarded May 13 to Pennsy Supply, Inc., of Annville in Lebanon County.
