CARNEGIE, Pa.—Police have charged an executive chef at a Pittsburgh-area country club with molesting a boy, now 13, who was allegedly told to keep quiet and rewarded with an Xbox video game system.

Online court records don't list an attorney for 44-year-old Garry Burgess, of Scott Township, who faces a preliminary hearing Friday on charges including indecent assault for incidents police say occurred when the boy was as young as 7. Burgess didn't immediately return a message left at his home Tuesday.

Police say the boy told them he was assaulted three or four times, always after Burgess had gotten drunk on beer. The boy says Burgess would tell him to "be a good monkey" whenever Burgess would fondle him.

Burgess has been the chef at the Chartiers Country Club, but police say none of the alleged incidents happened there.
