The blaze in Norristown was reported shortly before 3 p.m. Tuesday. A news helicopter over the scene showed flames shooting through the roofs of at least two of five connected homes.
The Times Herald (http://bit.ly/13ikZ0t) says firefighters sent into the building to extinguish the flames were quickly called back outside because the fire was spreading too quickly.
Officials say six homes were damaged by the fire, four of which are considered complete losses.
One firefighter was taken to the hospital for an undisclosed minor injury and no other injuries have been reported.
