Police in West York are investigating a shooting between occupants of two cars Sunday night.

Witnesses told police they saw occupants of two vehicles - one a white sedan and the other a black sedan - fire shots at each other in the area of the 1000 and 1100 blocks of West Princess Street about 10:30 p.m., according to a news release from the department.

Witnesses reported hearing three to four shots fired, police said.

The cars were then driven away from the area toward York City, police said.
