West York Police are looking for a man who robbed a woman at gunpoint at her home late Thursday night.

Police say the woman, who lives in the 1600 block of West Market Street, called 911 just before midnight and said that a masked man pulled a gun on her as she was smoking a cigarette on her porch and demanded money.

After she told him she didn't have any money on her, the man forced her into the house, where he stole several items, police said.

The man attempted to take a television and a video game console but dropped the items when the woman, who was not injured, screamed as loud as she could, police said.

A responding police officer searched the area for the man but to no avail, police said.

The suspect is described as a black man who was last seen wearing a green zip-up hooded sweatshirt with a white "Hollister" bird logo on its right sleeve, jeans and dark colored boots.

He was also wearing a ski mask concealing most of his face. A lower lip pierced with two small black balls was visible, police said.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at (717) 854-1975, or leave an anonymous tip by calling (717) 478-TIPS or online at wybpd.org.
