The Dover Area School Board voted 6-0 Monday night to appoint Galen Rupp as principal of the intermediate school.

Rupp was previously the assistant principal at the high school for two years and was also the assistant principal at the intermediate school before that, said Terry Emig, the board president.

He will be paid $92,500 annually and starts his new role immediately.

Rupp replaces Philip Livelsberger, who resigned from the district last month.
