Susquehannock and York Catholic are the 2012 York-Adams girls' tennis champions.

The Warriors wrapped up the Division I title with a 6-1 victory over Spring Grove on Thursday, and the Fighting Irish clinched the Division II crown by shutting out Biglerville, 7-0.

Susquehannock, after winning the Division II title last year, moved to Division I this season and made it two championships in two years.

York Catholic, meanwhile, secured its fifth Division II title in the past six seasons.

Both teams finished 8-0 in their respective divisions.

Katie Wagner led Susquehannock on the title-clinching day by not losing a game at No. 1 singles. Adriana Bullaj, Usha Baublitz, Carolie Vesper and Chelsey Simmers also earned singles points for the Warriors.

Simmers went three sets with Miranda Eckard before coming out on top, 6-2, 4-6, 6-2. Wagner and Bullaj combined to win No. 1 doubles, and Spring Grove's Amanda Craver and Michaela Taylor teamed to take the No. 2 doubles match.

Anna Spoden, Sarah Koury, Kathryn Thomas and Emily Javitt recorded straight-set victories for York Catholic.

The Fighting Irish's No. 2 player, Maddie Kepner rallied to win a hard-fought match with Nettie Baugher at No. 2 singles, 4-6, 6-1, 6-4.

Rain prevented the completion of the doubles matches. Spoden and Kepner were winning, 4-2, at No. 1, and Koury and Javitt were leading, 5-2, at No. 2 when play was halted.
