Two longtime York County high school baseball coaches have been named to the Pennsylvania staff for the Big 26 Baseball Classic.

West York's Roger Czerwinski and South Western's Mike Resetar will be assistant coaches for the Keystone team. Pottsville's Mike Welsh will be Pennsylvania's head coach, while Wilson's Sal Raccuglia will also be an assistant.

The Big 26 Classic, pitting top senior baseball players from Pennsylvania against their counterparts from Maryland, will be played from July 25 through July 28 in a three-game series at Metro Bank Park, home of the Harrisburg Senators.

Czerwinski and Resetar have both been highly successful in their high school coaching careers. Czerwinski is coming off a PIAA Class AAA state title with the Bulldogs and has won numerous York-Adams League titles, as has Resetar.

The following tryouts have been scheduled for the Pennsylvania team: Sunday, May 19, at Mt. Aloysius College, Cresson, registration at noon; and Sunday, May 26, at Lebanon Valley College, Annville, registration at 11 a.m. An additional tryout may be scheduled on Sunday, June 2, if needed.

Players interested in trying out should fill out a registration form at Registration forms must be completed by May 18. Players from both teams will be selected and contacted by June 4.
