West York is the York-Adams Division II baseball champion -- again.

And the Bulldogs owe a big thank you to the New Oxford Colonials.

New Oxford downed Kennard-Dale on Wednesday, 4-1, in Fawn Grove.

The Rams' loss allowed the Bulldogs to finish alone atop Division II at 7-6. K-D fell to 6-7 in the division and 8-7 overall. West York has now won two straight outright Division II crowns and three of the last four outright division championships.

If the Rams had beaten New Oxford, they would've shared the division title with West York. K-D also would've earned the Division II berth in this weekend's York-Adams League Baseball Tournament. If both the Rams and Bulldogs had finished 7-6, the Rams owned the tiebreaker advantage over the 'Dogs, which would have decided the tournament berth.

K-D's loss, however, gives West York the Division II title and the tournament berth. The Bulldogs (12-7) will face Division IV champion Delone Catholic (15-3) in a semifinal at 7 p.m. Friday at Sovereign Bank Stadium. The other semifinal pits Division I champion Spring Grove (13-6) vs. Division III champion Littlestown (16-2) at 4:30 p.m. Friday at Sovereign Bank Stadium.

The tournament title game is scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday at Sovereign Bank Stadium. West York is the defending tournament champion. The Bulldogs are also the defending PIAA Class AAA state champions.

In Wednesday's game, Anthony Lippy and Cody Pieper combined on a five-hitter for New Oxford. Lippy got the win and Pieper, who came on in the sixth, got the save. They combined for eight strikeouts and two walks. Pieper struck out five of the seven batters he face.

Keegan Romanoff (2-for-3, double, run), Jake Toal (homer) and Pieper (2-for-3, RBI) led New Oxford's offense.

Mike Miller had two hits, including a double, and scored K-D's only run.

New Oxford improved to 10-9 overall and 5-7 in Division II. The Colonials play host to Central York on Thursday in the completion of a suspended game. The game is 0-0 in the top of the third inning.

SOLANCO 6, DALLAS TOWN 5: At Quarryville, Solanco scored twice in the bottom of the seventh to earn the non-league win. Dallastown outhit Solanco, 11-8, but allowed four unearned runs. Zach Luman pitched five innings and allowed just one earned run for Dallastown. Nick Sutton, Kevin Ludwig and Adam Deardorff each had two hits for the Wildcats. Ludwig, Deardorff and Tanner Forry doubled for Dallastown, which fell to 11-8 overall. Solanco improved to 12-7.

PEQUEA VALLEY 7, RED LION 3: At Pequea Valley, the Lions dropped the non-league contest to fall to 12-6 on the season. Mike Godfrey was 2-for-3 for Red Lion with a double. Wyatt Tyson also doubled and drove in two runs. Pequea Valley improved to 13-7.
