The Dallastown girls' tennis team handed defending champion Susquehannock its first York-Adams Division I loss of the season on Tuesday, 4-3.

The Wildcats sewed up the win with a 6-2, 6-1 victory by Emily Kistler and Angela Friedrich at No. 1 doubles over Susquehannock's Katie Wagner and Hannah Brown.

Dallastown also got singles wins from Haley Brown, Christie Friedrich and Artika Saharan. Christie Friedrich took a three-set thriller at No. 4 singles, 6-7, 7-5, 7-5 over Chelsey Simmers.

Susquehannock received straight-set singles wins from Katie Wagner at No. 1 and Usha Baublitz at No. 2. Baublitz teamed with Jenni Ferg to take No. 2 doubles.

Dallastown, which finished second in the division in 2012, improved to 2-1 in the division this season, while Susquehannock fell to 1-1.

Spring Grove leads the division at 3-0.


YORK SUBURBAN 5, BERMUDIAN SPRINGS 2: At Suburban, Jessica Clancy, Erika Toman, Nneoma Amaechi, Nikki Spaudling and Bailey Cross each won straight-set singles matches for the Trojans.

YORK CATHOLIC 7, LITTLESTOWN 0: At Springettsbury Park, the Irish received straight-set singles victories from Catherine Vizzard, Maggie Javitt, Kathryn Thomas, Carolyn Thomas and Jenna Koury. York Catholic improved to 3-0 in York-Adams Division II.

WEST YORK 7, HANO VER 0: At West York, Lydia Fairlamb won in singles and doubles for the Bulldogs. Olivia Purtell, Gabby Amspacher, Allison Morningstar and Shayla Lutzinger also earned straight-set singles victories for West York.


SPRING 6, RED LION 1: At Red Lion, the Rockets improved to 3-0 in York-Adams Division I. Haley Staub, Emma Hoffnagle, Michaela Taylor and Amanda Craver won in singles and doubles for the Rockets.

KENNARD-DALE 5, DELONE CATHOLIC 2: At Fawn Grove, Kathleen Glackin and Alli Stewart won in singles and doubles to lead K-D.

DOVER-NORTHEAST ERN, SUSPENDED: The Dover-at-Northeastern match was suspended because of darkness and will be completed at a later date.
