Central York High School graduate Paul Kuhn, a junior at Juniata College, has been named the Sports Imports National NCAA Division III Men's Player of the Week by the American Volleyball Coaches Association, the organization announced Tuesday.

Kuhn currently leads Juniata in kills with 41 and is averaging more than four kills per set.

"He's got a unique skill set that allows him to really start the year off on a high note," Juniata head coach Kevin Moore said. "He's passing extremely well for us. His ability to terminate from multiple spots on the court has really helped us keep our offense balanced and keep teams guessing."

The 6-foot, 7-inch outside hitter helped Juniata, ranked No. 3 in Division III, go 3-0 on the weekend with wins over two ranked opponents. He hit .372, recording only five errors on 43 swings. Kuhn earned a team-high 14 kills in a win over No. 13 Kean and finished the weekend with only one reception error in 18 attempts.

Juniata (5-0) is preparing to play Puerto Rico (Tuesday, Jan. 28) before heading to Nazareth for the Golden Flyer Invitational on Friday, Jan 30, where they face-off against No. 2 Nazareth and No. 5 UC Santa Cruz.

It is the 22nd time in program history a Juniata student-athlete has garnered Sports Imports/Player of the Week honors.
