The York Capitals defeated the first-place Cape Fear Heroes 67-52 at the York Ice Arena Friday night in Week 4 action in the American Indoor Football (AIF).

The victory was the first for the Capitals who were led by Quarterback Shawn Lloyd.

"Shawn and (wideout) Julius Gregory had such a phenomenal chemistry going" York coach Matt Steeple said. "To hook up on three-straight second half TDs was the difference for us".

The Capitals had a tipped pass TD in the end zone made by Jay Jackson, giving the Capitals the lead 39-30 going into halftime. The Lloyd-to-Gregory connection allowed the Capitals the build a 67-44 lead in the second half.

The Capitals (1-2) now have a bye week and next play Saturday, May 3, against the Baltimore Mariners.
