Saturday evening racing around the area was washed out by late-afternoon rain showers.

Programs at Lincoln, Williams Grove, Susquehanna, Selinsgrove and Port Royal were all postponed.


Thomasville driver wins at Grove: Thomasville's Greg Hodnett won Friday's Outlaw Tune-Up at Williams Grove.

Hodnett pocketed $4,000 for his first Grove win of the season, which came in the 25-lap feature.

Oklahoma invader Shane Stewart took the lead at the onset of the race, and held on to the top spot until Hodnett, who had started third, moved past him on the 15th lap. Hodnett held on to the top spot when Stewart began to fade with brake issues. In the end, it was Doug Esh who followed Hodnett to the line, with Donnie Kreitz Jr. in third. Ryan Smith and Lance Dewease completed the top five. Rounding out the top 10 were Danny Dietrich, Stewart, Mark Smith, York's Adam Wilt and Lucas Wolfe.

Kevin Nouse made it two in a row in Williams Grove 358 sprint competition. Nouse started 11th, and took the lead from Phil Walter on the 14th of 20 laps. Walter finished second, with Fawn Grove's Matt Campbell in third. Hellam's Adrian Shaffer and Kody Lehman completed the top five. Rounding out the top 10 were Tyler Esh, Jay Galloway, Dillsburg's Brie Hershey, Scott Fisher and D.J. Montgomery.

Yorker shines at Trailway: York's Chase Dietz made his first-ever 358 sprint start at Trailway a productive one, picking up the win. He's won multiple micro-sprint races at Trailway. Dietz was driving for Michael Markey for the first time, as well.


Dietz scored the win over Hanover's Issac Sneeringer, with Robbie Kendall, Brad McClelland and Seth Kearchner in the top five. Rounding out the top 10 were Cody Fletcher, Spring Grove's Dwight Leppo, Stewartstown's Randy Whisler, Wyatt Hinkle and Tim Stallings.

Brad Weber won the 600cc micro-sprint feature over David Holbrook, Jim Young, Shawn Seifert and Alyson Dietz. Alyson Dietz is Chase Dietz's sister.

Dan Furman won the street-stock feature and Matt Chronister was the limited-stock winner.

Dover's Trout first at Big Diamond: The super-sportsman series visited Big Diamond on Friday evening and Dover's Chad Trout picked up his first feature win of the season.

Trout scored the victory over Lewisberry's Scott Dellinger. Frankie Herr finished third, with Dillsburg's Rich Eichelberger and Chad Criswell in the top five. Rounding out the top 10 were Mike Enders, Duaine Smith, Gregg Foster, Russ Mitten and Dave Socks.
