'Snow White'

    The 15th annual Women's Show features hundreds of exhibitors, live entertainment, demonstrations, fashion shows and more from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 6, and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 7, in Memorial Hall at the York Expo Center, 334 Carlisle Ave. Admission: $4.     The 48th annual National Apple Harvest Festival boasts hundreds of vendors, food, contests, children's activities, animals, entertainment and more from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Oct. 6, 7, 13 and 14 at South Mountain Fairgrounds along Route 234 near Arendtsville, Adams County. Fiery night

    The York Symphony Orchestra's classical concert season begins with selections from Stravinsky's “Firebird,” Mussorgsky-Ravel and Rachmaninoff at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 6, at the Strand-Capitol Performing Arts Center, 50 N. Hometown favorite

Time to play

    Bring on Play's Plaza Palooza returns Sundays in front of Sovereign Bank Stadium starting Sunday, Oct. 14. The fun lasts from noon to 4 p.m. every Sunday through Dec. 2. The first event features a Let's Get Movin' theme with sports clinics in addition to the regular playground activities, ice skating and more. Admission: $4. Pullo gets Weird

Oyster fest

    The 38th annual Oyster Festival features oysters and other food as well as art and craft demonstrations, tours, live music, children's activities and more from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 21, at the Agricultural & Industrial Museum, 217 W. Cult classic

    York Little Theatre brings back “The Rocky Horror Show” for mature audiences at 9 p.m. and midnight Friday, Oct. 26, and Saturday, Oct. 27. Wine and beer

    The second annual Yorktoberfest wine and beer festival runs from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, and Sunday, Oct. 28, at Sovereign Bank Stadium in downtown York. Taste craft beers and wines from about 20 breweries and wineries, browse vendor stands, listen to live music and more. Free admission. Tickets for tasting: $30 for beer, $20 for wine at the gate. Music festival

    The fourth annual Rural Radio Fall Music Fest features a dozen performers from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, at Naylor Winery, 4069 Vineyard Road near Stewartstown. The event also features arts and crafts and Halloween activities for kids. Proceeds benefit the Children's Miracle Network. Tickets: $15 for adults, free for ages 15 and under.     The 63rd annual York Halloween Parade begins at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 28, with bands, floats, dancers, specialty vehicles and more on display along the march east on Market Street from the York Fairgrounds to Lehman Street, passing through Continental Square.
