Area movie theater mangers are expecting packed houses for a marathon of Twilight films before the latest and last film is released Nov. 15.

Frank Theatres in York Township, Regal in West Manchester Township and R/C Theatres in Hanover will show all four previous Twilight films in the lead-up to the late-night release of the fifth film, "Breaking Dawn Part 2," on Nov. 15.

"It'll be all five movies back-to-back," said Chris Young, a manager at R/C Hanover. "It's the last chance to catch them all on the big screen."

Sales for the marathons are ongoing, and Young said he expects to have a full house in

the auditorium where it will be shown. Additional auditoriums may be opened for the marathon depending on demand, he said.

Kevin Scott, general manager of Frank Theatres' Queensgate 13, said enough tickets have been sold to fill half of an auditorium, and added the films will likely be shown in a second auditorium if sales continue to rise.

"We'll fill in the (auditorium), and then we'll open up another one," he said.

Franchise: "Breaking Dawn Part 2" is the last in a series of films adapted from Stephenie Meyer's Twilight novels. Both have garnered a following of fans, mostly women and teenage girls.

The Twilight series tells the story of vampire Edward Cullen, played by Robert Pattinson; werewolf Jacob Black, played by Taylor Lautner; and Bella Swan, portrayed by Kristen Stewart.

Tickets for the marathon, which start about mid-day at all three cinemas, are $20 each.

That, Scott and Young said, is a steal to see five films. There will be intermissions between the movies.

Final: In years past, R/C Hanover teamed up with the local library to put on an event prior to the release of the latest Twilight film. While a special event isn't planned at the moment, Young said he expects some sort of event will be hammered out for the night of the release.

Fans who attend the marathon at Frank Theatres will receive a lanyard straight from the film studio that made the Twilight series, Scott said.

Movie-goers can also opt to purchase tickets just for the showing of "Breaking Dawn Part 2," which will be shown about 10 p.m. at each theater.

Since the release of the final film is on a school night, Young said an effort has been made to ensure that younger fans don't miss school the next day because they went to the movie theater.

"We're shooting to get people in here earlier rather than later since it is a Thursday," he said.
