Medical talent turns musical for "Music Thru the Years," a fundraiser for York Little Theatre put on by three area doctors who double as soprano, tenor and classical pianist. The World War II Wings of Freedom Tour brings heavy bombers and a P-51 fighter to the York Airport for tours and ride-alongs. Week 6 of the local high school football season takes place this weekend. There are 11 games involving York-Adams League teams set for Friday, Oct. 4. The York-Adams Division I and Division II teams start league action this week. For a complete schedule, visit the sports section.

The Williams Grove National Open is set for this weekend at Williams Grove Speedway. The World of Outlaws drivers will compete. The 51st running of the sprint-car classic will pay $50,000 to the winner on Saturday, Oct. 5, which is the second day of a two-day program starting Friday. Action both nights starts at 7:30 p.m.
