The York County Heritage Trust will present a discussion by Dorothy King, author of the play, "Susquehanna to Freedom: The Role of the Susquehanna River in the Underground Railroad," 12:30-2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 6, at the Historical Society Museum, 250 E. Market St.

King, of Penn State Harrisburg and owner of Penowl Productions, will talk about her research and creation of the drama.

The play tells the story of three slaves who set out from Havre de Grace, Md., and make their way up the Susquehanna River to Cooperstown, N.Y. It is intertwined with 10 factual county stories about local Underground Railroad activities in areas that border the Susquehanna.
