LA CROSSE, Wisc. -- York College's Tim Hartung earned his second All-America honor this year with a seventh-place finish in the 10,000-meter run at the NCAA Division III Track and Field Championships.

In addition, York's Phil Cavaluchi qualified for the long jump finals and finished ninth overall.

It was Hartung's first outdoor track and field All-America recognition. He had previously earned All-America recognition in cross country.

He finished with a school-record time of 30 minutes, 9.20 seconds.

He will try to earn another All-America honor on Saturday in the 5,000-meter run.

Cavaluchi jumped 7.21 meters to earn a spot in the long jump finals. Unfortunately, he could not better that distance in the finals. He fell just .01 meters short of eighth place and earning All-America status.
