The York Revolution signed four relief pitchers Monday, including two former big leaguers.

Right-handers Pedro Liriano and Julio DePaula, both former major leaguers, and left-handers Joe Torres and Joe Testa have inked contracts with the Revs for the 2013 season.

York now has 26 players signed, including 16 pitchers. Eleven of the players signed for the 2013 roster have major league experience.

Atlantic League rules allow teams to carry 27 players until June 1, so the Revs do have room for one more player. However, York manager Mark Mason has said previously he would like to begin the season with 25 players.

Liriano: Liriano, 32, is a former big leaguer who comes to York after pitching for Sugar Land last season. The Dominican Republic native went 8-3 with a 2.43 ERA in 29 games (five starts) for the Skeeters in 2012, striking out 52 and walking 31 in 772/3 innings of work.

In his fourth season as a pro in 2004, Liriano debuted in the major leagues with the Milwaukee Brewers. A year later he pitched in five games for the Philadelphia Phillies. He hasn't been back to the big leagues since. For his career, the righty has a 6.00 ERA in 16 relief appearances in the majors.

DePaula: DePaula, 30, is a former big leaguer who went 1-2 with a 3.03 ERA in 31 relief appearances last season for the Bridgeport Bluefish.

A Dominican Republic native, DePaula reached the big leagues in his sixth season as a pro in 2007, going 0-1 with an 8.55 ERA in 16 appearances for the Minnesota Twins. Also a former prospect of the Tampa Bay Rays, he has spent the majority of his career pitching at the Class AAA level, where he owns a career 17-13 record and a 4.12 ERA in 148 games.

Torres: Torres, 30, will make his Atlantic League debut with the Revs in his 13th season as a pro.

He has pitched the majority of his career at the Class AA level, where he holds a career 12-4 record and 2.83 ERA in 160 games. He has a career 6.43 ERA in 14 games at the Class AAA level.

Last season, the 6-foot, 2-inch left-hander pitched in the Rockies' minor league system, going 4-0 with a 2.35 ERA at Class AA Tulsa and 0-0 with a 7.11 ERA in 13 games at Class AAA Colorado Springs.

Testa: Testa, 27, will make the trip south to York after pitching in five games for the Class AA Harrisburg Senators last season. The Senators are in the Washington Nationals' organization.

The New Jersey native is a former prospect of the Minnesota Twins and Nationals. A 2008 Wagner (N.Y.) College grad, Testa comes to York and the Atlantic League for the first time in his pro career. The 5-foot-10 lefty owns a career 1-4 record and 8.36 ERA in 26 games at the Class AA level and a 15-5 record and a 2.95 ERA in 119 games at the Class High A level.

Last season, he went a combined 1-1 with 5.49 ERA in 34 games split between the Nationals' Class High A Potomac and Class AA Harrisburg clubs.
